A message from the founder
This started as a list in my notes app. I was tired of asking around for weeks every time I needed my hair done, and spending hours on social media trying to work out from a grid whether someone was any good, near me, or taking clients at all.
The stylists were never the problem. There are brilliant ones all over the UK, working out of salons, studios and front rooms. There was just nowhere to look them up.
So I made The Black Hair List. Search an area or a postcode, see who works nearby and what they actually do, and look at their work before you message anyone — it's completely free! It's still early days, but if you are looking for a Black hair stylist, I hope this saves you a lot of time :)
